In the Beginning:

Established in 2008 as a dog daycare and small dog boarding establishment by Wilhelmina Ford (now Wilhelmina Mushins) with the focus in mind as a home away from home for dogs who are social, well natured and owners who want more for their dogs than to just be locked up and walked on a lead a few hours a day. Inspired by Roxy, who is the Doggy Pause mascot (born in 2005, Kelpie X Aus. Staffie Female).

The Growing Years:

Starting in Hornsby on 900sqm with maximum of 15 dogs per day capacity Doggy Pause was extremely fortunate to be blessed with a wonderful array of dogs and loving owners, of which regularly placed their trust in us to keep their dog/s safe, healthy and having fun while they were away. Doggy Pause has grown with word of mouth over the years and through this has been able to expand to larger facilities and create a 'dog paradise' from a blank canvas which we believe allows us to more than cater for the dogs in our care.

With the expansion of Doggy Pause and desire to cater still for the Sydney clients, a transport service was created for the ease of clients wanting to use our services but being unable to make the trip to the new premises at The Central Coast. The expanded facility caters for 30 dogs a day and offers 15 acres of securely fenced land for all day play.

Where we're going:

Doggy Pause will continue to offer its boutique cage-less style of boarding to the Sydney and Central Coast dog owners, with our transport service backing us up for those who just cannot get to our main facility.

We will continue to create Doggy Pause as an experience for dogs and owners, not just a boarding kennel where a dog stays for a certain time. We pride ourselves on offering a unique service and gladly welcome all inspections at our property and hope you even stay a bit longer and walk around our land and take in the atmosphere.

	Wilhelmina Mushins (Ford): Founder/Director Qualifications/Certificates: First Aid For Dogs, Dog Obedience, Dog Grooming, Animal Behaviour, Canine Homeopathy and a Bachelor of Business Management. "In a perfect world, every dog would have a home and every home would have a dog."
	David Mushins: Manager Qualifications/Certificates: First Aid For Dogs, Animal Behaviour & Marketing. Married Wilhelmina on Friday 14 October, 2011.
	Jenna Ford : Mother Hen The backbone to Doggy Pause. Cares for all dogs and humans and liaises with clients, dogs and transport.
	Roxy : Born in 2005, Kelpie X Aus. Staffie Female The inspiration behind the creation of Doggy Pause. She may bark on your arrival ferociously but she wouldn't hurt a fly. Totally tennis ball obsessed.
