Testimonials
"We were so happy when we discovered Doggy Pause ...it offered just what we had been trying to find for our English Pointer Dexter.. We had previously tried conventional kennels with all the add ons of extra walks and playtime, but we just didn't like the thought of our beautiful, gentle natured dog being in a cage most of the day and all night. Dexter is totally loved and is very much part of our family. He is very social with all creatures human and hairy! Because he's still under 2 yrs, he's very active and loves to play all day with other dogs. So to find somewhere where he can do just that is perfect! In addition, there are no extra costs because the dogs get all the exercise and fun they need from one another, under Willo and David's constant supervision.
Willo and David have a beautiful, secure property, carefully designed to cater for all levels of activity. Dexter has been to stay twice now, most recently for 6 weeks while we were overseas. We felt totally confident leaving Dexter in Willo and David's very attentive care. We kept in touch regularly through email and phone calls and were sent numerous photos of Dex having fun, playing in the open all day. We used the excellent pick up service from Hornsby at the start of his stay and then enjoyed picking up from Kulnura on our return, so that we could see him with all the other dogs. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Doggy Pause to anyone who wants that bit of extra care, attention and love, in an active and very social environment, for their dog" -Deb & Adrian Knight / Owners of Delightful Dexter (English Pointer) July 2011
"I cannot thank you enough Willo and David for taking care of our two dogs, Buddy and Sascha for a number of weeks. We had just had a family tragedy and you made everything so easy and not once did I feel worried about the care and attention of my dogs during their almost 3 weeks stay. We stayed updated with the wonderful photographs you uploaded for us and if I rang you always took the time to talk to me about what my “babies” were up to. Being country dogs Buddy and Sascha have a huge amount of energy and it was great to pick them up and see them so fit, healthy and happy. You accommodated our food requests, our special cuddles requests and I have NEVER had a boarding place provide such genuine care and affection to dogs in their care. I will be singing your praises to all dog owners I know" - Billie Butterworth / Owner o Stunning Sascha (Border Collie) and Beautiful Buddy (Kelpie X) June 2011
"People must often wonder what happens with their dogs when they leave them in kennels when they go on holidays. Some would no doubt think their dogs are left in a cage for most of the day, fed a few scraps for dinner then hopefully let out for half an hour for a play. I’m so glad that doesn’t happen at your place. Obviously you and your staff have a great love for dogs, and genuinely show them the love and respect they deserve. I brought Molly home this afternoon, gave her a bath and she has been asleep most of the time since then. Now that I have seen your photos on photobucket, I understand why she is so tired. I see how she has played with the other dogs, walked on the play equipment, slept on the lounges and given all your staff a bath by her licking them. If you ever need a reference for any potential customers, I am happy to talk to them and reassure them their dogs are in good hands" - Molly Nolan / Owner of Marvelous Molly (Mixed Breed) January 2010
"Just wanted to thank you and Roxy again for looking after Taffy for the 3 weeks we were overseas. I have never liked putting her in the kennel and would always worry about her when we are away, but for the first time I didn't have the slightest concern for her. After seeing how you cared for the dogs and how they were able to run and play all day I knew Taffy would be in her element. She came back just as happy if not happier than when we left her, she also came back a few (much needed) Kilo's lighter from all the fun with her playmates. It is so nice to know we can now go away and leave her somewhere where she is treated like one of your own to run free all day" - Nicky Langhorne / Owner of Terrific Taffy (Labrador) July 2009
"We agonise where to put our beloved Labrador Milo when we have to travel and my husband suggested Doggy Pause as we had seen a flyer up at the Showground. Milo stayed there for four days and to say he loved it was the understatement of the century. He roamed and played in a large yard all day with other dogs, was taken to the local park every day, fed nutritious food and most importantly was loved by Willo. The difference between Doggy Pause and every other kennel ( and we use the best and most well known ones!!) is massive. It is the first time we have picked up a relaxed chilled out dog. I would recommend Doggy Pause to anyone who loves their dogs !!!! - Mel & John Wilkinson / Owners of Magical Milo (Chocolate Labrador) March 2009
"We want to thank you so much for the loving environment and care that you provided for Chloe. Our daughter Dani picked up Chloe and we have just recently returned. Dani who adores animals, sees you as something of a kindred spirit ... We are happy and reassured that we have now found a safe and caring home to take Chloe to in the future" - Gay & Chris Bird / Owners of Cute Chloe (Mini Fox Terrier) January 2009
